VISION SYSTEMS FOR CARTON LABELLING
SEA Vision systems offer a very wide range of controls for carton labelling machine, starting from the codes and the variable data printed on the carton body. Other controls are labels presence and position and a wide range of control on the cosmetic aspects of the carton.
They are installed directly on the cartoning machines and analyze in real-time 100% of the products (not statistic control) also at high speeds. One or more controls are performed simultaneously.
The system is composed by hardware (Industrial PC, cameras, light units) and software (with advanced proprietary algorithms) perfectly integrated with the Marchesini Group packaging machines.
All the computations are performed at very high speed and the result is communicated to the machine to reject automatically the defective cartons without affecting the production speed.

1D/2D code on Carton or Label
Print management and control of 1D and 2D serialized/not-serialized code (for example QR code, Data Matrix, Pharmacode, EAN code) printed on different carton sides. The codes can be controlled also on labels. ANSI Grading control in real-time to assure the printed quality of the code.
Variable Data
Print management and control of variable data like production date, batch number, expiry date and other printed on different carton sides. The variable data can be controlled also on labels.
Skewed Label Control
Control of label presence and correct position on the carton. The system identifies correct alignment, rotation and position measuring the distance between specific points and avoiding skewed labels. Control of correct label adhesion and identification of defects like wrinkles, air bubbles and rips.
Carton Integrity
Aesthetic imperfections like scratches, holes, impurities, spots, dirt, incorrect or different artwork
Geometrical defects like deformed carton, not properly erected carton, incorrect geometry and proportions
Defects in the application of Tamper Evident: not properly applied, creased or folded; foreign bodies under the Tamper Evident labels
