Pack Expo Chicago: Marchesini Group celebrates 50 years of innovation, showcasing machines and production lines for the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries

One of the most anticipated Packaging and Processing events is coming: Pack Expo International, a trade show that will bring together the leading companies to Chicago to discuss the latest market trends. This edition, scheduled from November 3rd to 6th, will be a special occasion for Marchesini Group, as it celebrates its 50th anniversary, inviting visitors to celebrate past, present, and sharing new ideas and projects for the future. 

Founded in 1974 by Massimo Marchesini, Marchesini Group has become a multinational company with a turnover of approximately 600 million euros, and 3,000 employees all over the world. The Group is present in 116 countries worldwide, including the USA: a strategic area where the subsidiary Marchesini Group USA has been operating for over 30 years, supporting the USA, Puerto Rico, and Canada markets. Marchesini Group USA team of experts comprehensively analyze and define the customer's packaging requirements, making technical challenges into effective and unique solutions. 

On display at stand W-14035 will be the latest innovations in the field of pharmaceutical production. Most notably a solution from the Pharma Packaging division: a line for packaging and labeling injection pens, featuring a robotic island that precisely and flexibly positions the pens inside a paper tray. The line includes a labelling machine that manages 200pcs/min transported within dedicated sleeves ensuring high labelling precision and correct orientation. Once fed to the MA 80 cartoning machine, a robotic feeding system places the pens inside a paper tray with precision and flexibillty. This tray, internally designed by the R&D department, features a functional design that enables significant savings in paper and glue (-50% compared to traditional models on the market). 

In addition, the Group will also exhibit several machines produced by the Pharma Laboratory divisions: attendees will have the chance to explore two innovative solutions produced by Dott. Bonapace, the Group’s company focused on the production of lab scale machines for the R&D. On display will be the IN-CAP SE, an automatic capsule filler designed to handle a wide range of products, including powders, pellets, tablets, liquids, Capsule-in-Capsule, and combinations of up to three different forms. Additionally, visitors can view the BP-2, BP-3, CU-1 line, a mid-capacity system for producing suppositories and ovules in plastic strips and a smart leak testing solution for blisters and plastic containers. 

Also being displayed on the stand are solutions tailored to the cosmetic industry: the JAM42 by Rejves Machinery, an indexing monoblock dedicated to the packaging of liquid products such as nail polish, perfume, detergent, or cream. The machine’s extensive flexibility allows it to handle a variety of applications both in the filling and capping sections. Viscous and foamy products can be dosed using various technologies such as syringes, mass dose meters, flow meters, or peristaltic pumps. The same flexibility is also available in the capping section, which can handle, for example, pre-threaded caps, glass pipettes, or pumps. 

Finally, at the stand W-14035 will be present SEA Vision with the latest innovations in in the field of vision systems and a corner dedicated to the Marchesini Group Digital area featuring the latest innovations in digital transformation and artificial intelligence, including the “Morpheus” predictive maintenance solution.
